Dr. Lourdes Ramos

President & CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)

My association with cinematography is related to my childhood and life process. I grew up surrounded by the world of celluloid thanks to my father who was a film technician. Unsealed film reels and projector lenses were part of my personal toy chest. The promotional posters of the films were my first approach to the world of graphic arts and my first interactions with the big screen took place on the terrace and garden of my house. The best film critics and commentators were my father's co-workers, among them scriptwriters, producers, editors, sound engineers, lighting technicians, and artists, among others. Since then, the world of cinematography in its different genres has been one of my great passions. As an adult, and as a hobby, I studied film and television production at the Technological Institute of Barcelona among other academic and field opportunities.

The mission of One World Stage & Screen is to make high-quality training accessible to aspiring talents who lack the financial resources to access the education and mentorship necessary to cultivate their craft. We believe that the composition of the acting field should not be dictated by financial means. Our goal is to level the playing field and create opportunities for talented youth to gain access to the support and training they need to have the careers they deserve.  At One World Stage & Screen, we specialize in youth ages 11 – 24, who primarily come from underserved areas.

Erin
Grissom

Erin’s love for the art of storytelling began early in life.  Thanks to the help of one particularly supportive teacher, she has been writing, directing, producing and acting in short films and stage productions since she was 8 years old.  More recently she has participated in a number of experimental theater productions at Long Beach’s very own Garage Theater, as well as produced a DIY backyard dinner theater.  Erin is a contributor at Jane Free productions and believes storytelling in all forms is an important component to embodied healing and community connection.
